Improve Your Health 6 - Addressing 40/30/30

40/30/30 Rule. This carb/protein/fat guideline includes eating 2,500 calories daily and breaks down into about 300 grams of carbs, 100 grams of protein, and 100 grams of fat. Your body gets most of its energy from carbs. Many weight loss programs shrink carbs (to less than 30g a day) and increase proteins (to about 1 gram for every pound you weigh), requiring your body to find a new source of energy: your fat reserves. This transition can take a few days, and energy can decrease as your body figures it out.   Your energy will return once the transition is complete, then weight loss (fat loss) can be effective and consistent. After a while, your body may stop craving carbs because it's found a new energy source.
